He creates sculptures made by open-fire methods, just like in the Jomon period, and usable earthenware made by applying lacquer to open-fired pottery.
He was born near the Goshono ruins in Iwate Prefecture.
He grew up right next to the Yufunezawa ruins.
He lives near the Santonodai ruins in Yokohama.
After creating Japanese-style paintings in Kyoto, he began making earthenware, dolls and sculptures.
Recently, he has mainly been creating and exhibiting oil paintings, sculptures made by open-fire methods, and lacquered earthenware.
