After winning the grand prize (the highest award in Japan) at the 1998 JKG Knife Contest, he participated in the 1998 ECCK Knife Show held in Times Square, New York, U.S.A.
Since then, he has participated in knife shows in Atlanta, Taipei, and other cities abroad every year.
He has developed the original knife lock function and holds many other patents.
