ガラスの塊を削って制作した作品になります。
The work is made by shaving a block of glass.
Masaki Kusada was born in Gifu and worked at a think tank for few years after graduating from the Graduate School of Engineering at Nagoya University.
He started Ceramic art, Photography and Glass craft as a hobby at first.
Since 1997, He starts his creative activity in Ishikawa.
He uses pin blow technique.
He uses water vapor instead of blowing air through a tube into softened glass and makes the form only by gravity and centrifugal force.
It means nothing touches the glass so it becomes very clear.
He says that to make natural form and transparent glass, he use only simple tool and also simple method.
His works are like a stream of clear water.
Of course you can use it as a plate for your table and the simple form shows off materials on it.
However it is beautiful in itself so we recommend you to have it as an art piece.
